I adore this collection as much as I adore Gaultier's inspiration for his Spring/Summer 2012 collection, Amy Winehouse. This Collection is a satire story of how people glorify Amy's Down cycle in life. how people cheering on her battle. make her life as a social modern Gladiatress.
This Spring, Gaultier created a wonderful collection, play with decontructive pattern, and reconstruct it again into a new look. the corseted baseball jacket, the twisted polo dress, basically a mix between late 80's - early 90's tight colorful sexy dresses, lingerie inspired style with lace just like Amy's performance dress and the 60's vibe inspired from Amy's remarkable bee-hive hair style and thick liquid eye liner.
'Back to black' instrument played as the background music, with (am not sure but I guess) theDapKings sing as the backing vocals just like watching her gigs. started with all those beautiful street look haute couture gown, and closed with her most famous song, 'Rehab' as the background song of the finale, with all the models wearing I asume Jean Paul Gaultier's lingerie collection for La perla, and they're wearing veil as a mourner witha huge lost of Amy, but also a celebration for Amy's final stage of her life cycle and it reminds us, she'll be always a multi talented singer-songwriter that has a remarkable persona..
I saw her everywhere.. in those clothes, in those hair, in that stage, in the audiences eyes, and i'm glad that her legacy will always be remembered.. and Amy will life forever in our heart.
